Improve Patient Recovery Post Stroke1

Improve your post stroke recovery with an oral treatment that supports motor and cognitive functions.

Have you recently suffered
from a stroke? 2-5

A stroke occurs when there is a blockage of an artery or rupture of a blood vessel – interrupting blood flow to an area of the brain. When this happens, brain cells begin to die and brain damage occurs. Abilities controlled by that area of the brain are lost – including speech, movement and memory. Two of the main types of stroke are Ischaemic strokes, characterised by the sudden loss of blood circulation to an area of the brain due to a blockage and Haemorrhagic strokes which are caused by a rupture of a blood vessel leading to bleeding directly into the functional tissue of the brain.

Can my post-stroke symptoms be treated?

In-hospital treatment2,6,7,8

Early detection and various in-hospital therapies can affect the impact of strokes. In-hospital treatments include but are not limited to clot dissolving, aspirin, anti-clotting therapy, blood pressure management, and surgery for brain swelling. Despite the effectiveness of current acute stroke treatments, many patients still remain with impairments and disability.

After hospital discharge2,6,9

Once discharged from hospital there are various factors that affect recovery such as but not limited to lifestyle changes (no smoking, limited alcohol consumption, exercise, etc), blood sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure management. Rehabilitation (including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy) after a stroke has also been shown to assist with reducing complications and functional disabilities.

Going to hospital is crucial to get adequate treatment and limit brain injury.

NeuroAiD™ contributes to
improved patient recovery1

NeuroAiD™ has properties which assist the production of new neurons in our brain (neurogenesis) and favours connections between neurons by stimulating the formation of new dendrites and synapses (neuroplasticity). This contributes to the formation of new neuronal circuits, and gives stroke survivors better chance of repairing their neurological deficits and recovering a maximum of their lost motor and cognitive capabilities.

What does NeuroAiD™ assist with?

NeuroAiD™ supports the brain’s neurological, motor & cognitive functions and contributes to improved patient recovery1
